Surrounded by Love

This afternoon our friends Brett and Sarah invited us to go boating. It was a great way to cap off our summer. While there, the boys decided to go out on the tube and without any prompting from me Shon said "I am going to stay to help with the kids."

This got me thinking how lucky I am to be surrounded with people who love me. I am especially grateful for Shon. I am grateful that my kids have a dad that loves them and me enough to stay rather than do one of his favorite recreational sports. Evan if it was just for a moment.

I sat and watched as he held our baby, took a walk with Emma, and sheltered our boys from the wind on the boat; and I again fell in love with him.
